How Others are Showing Support for the STLMGAC

After attending our annual dinner, Timothy Van Rhein wanted to show his support for STLMGAC. Timothy decided to do so by running the Boston Marathon in April 2014. In order to help raise money, Tim created a donation website. He also proudly wore our name on his bib!

Cynthia Kagan Frohlichstein’s late husband Harvey Frohlichstein previously served on the St. Louis Men’s group against Cancer committee. Cynthia, a published children’s author donates her book profits to various St. Louis charities. Cynthia made a donation to STLMGAC in honor of Harvey. Cynthia’s most recent book, The Peanut Butter Birthday Party” is dedicated to him.  Cynthia also wrote “The Perils of the Peanut Butter Kid”. Both of Cynthia’s books are available on Amazon and at various bookstores.

Mark Blum, an attendee of our Annual Men’s Dinner wanted to help honor his brother-in-law, Doug King, who lost his battle to cancer several years ago. In honor of Doug, Mark held his first annual “Doug King Strike Out Cancer Fund” event in May of 2015. This event included a fun evening of bowling, pool and eats. Doug then donated the proceeds to the St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer. Plans are underway for the 2016 event!
