"The Best Day of the Year"

THE ANNUAL LUNCHEON

Each May, the St. Louis cancer community—including sponsor partners, supporters, volunteers of STLMGAC, and more than 40 deserving cancer-focused nonprofits—comes together to celebrate our sponsors and the incredible organizations making a difference in people’s lives. At this annual event, each organization receives essential funding to further its mission, whether by advancing scientific research in pursuit of a cure or providing vital support to individuals battling cancer and their families.

$407,000 in Grants Awarded at May 9th Recognition Luncheon

The St. Louis Men's Group Against Cancer celebrated its highlight event of the year on May 9th, with Tamar Sher serving as emcee for the annual Recognition Luncheon. Attendees were moved by powerful stories from individuals whose lives have been transformed through STLMGAC's generous support.

All grants were awarded following a comprehensive review process conducted by the STLMGAC Medical Advisory Committee under the leadership of Dr. Gary Singer. This rigorous evaluation ensures that funding reaches the organizations making the greatest impact in cancer care and research.

This year's distinguished recipients included the American Cancer Society, BJC Healthcare, Camp Rainbow, The Cancer Support Community, Children's Miracle Network, Friends of Kids with Cancer, Gateway to Hope, HavenHouse St. Louis, Make-A-Wish, Mercy Health Foundation, Missouri Baptist Cancer Center, Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation, and Washington University School of Medicine.

"Our organization continues to make a meaningful difference by supporting cancer research, programming, and patient care right here in our very own community," said STLMGAC Executive Director Anita Kraus. "This annual luncheon is the culmination of our year-round efforts, and it's incredibly rewarding to witness firsthand the positive changes we're helping to create."

Since its founding in 1969, STLMGAC has raised more than $6 million for over 40 charitable organizations serving the St. Louis cancer community. As an independent nonprofit, the organization provides vital support to individuals facing a cancer diagnosis while remaining committed to advancing scientific research in the ongoing search for a cure.
